Hebron —
Neither the girls or boys Cross Country teams from McCool Junction could field a full team to compete for the team titles on Thursday.
The girls team title was won by Fillmore Central, while the boys team race went to Hastings St. Cecilia.
For the Mustangs, Preston Bolte took fourth for the boys, but all the other results were blacked out by the fax.
“We are still a bit banged up and sick as only six of our 10 runners competed today,” said McCool head coach Ryan Underwood. “I think we are headed in the right direction with our recovery and should be at full strength by next week. There were a lot of positives today. We were led by Preston Bolte and Shelby Real who both picked up medals and ran strong. Brandon Suhr continues to get better and Brady West and Rachel Boland both ran strong personal records.”
Over the following improvements were made by individuals versus their times from the same meet last year. Bolte 1:37, Real :57, Boland 1:07 and West 3:06.
The Mustangs will be back in action next Thursday at the Raymond Central Invite.
